Birds of Prey Experiences

Welcome to The Willows Bird of Prey Centre, where we offer our guests the opportunity to meet some of the world’s most amazing raptors.  From Tuesdays to Sundays, guests over the age of eight can experience our incredible birds of prey. Birds of prey experiences are fun for the whole family, so come to the beautiful Kent countryside and get up-close and personal with our feathered friends.

Birds of prey are important to our ecosystem as they help provide a sustainable population level of both predator and prey. Our team go above and beyond to keep our birds in great health. They love attention and are keen to meet you. With a lot of affection, we can keep our feathery friends happy and healthy.

From the Harris Hawk to the Eurasian Eagle-Owl, we can showcase many different species here at The Willows Bird of Prey Centre. The birds of prey experiences will start with a detailed introduction to the course, learning about the individual birds and safety guidelines will be followed so young ones are properly looked after. We will also provide a lesson in bird handling, so yourself and our birds can enjoy and get the most out of the experience. Our birds of prey experiences are two hours long and also include entrance to the astounding Coolings Green and Pleasant six-acre Nature Trail.

Our professional bird handlers will outline the day, from falconry skills to flying and field craft. You will also be able to ask your bird handler any questions you have before you are introduced to the birds. Each of our birds of prey experiences is fun and educational. Guests are able to learn about every species we have and get to know their personalities, creating memories that will last a lifetime. We are able to provide these experiences to guests of all abilities and as a heavily sought out activity, our bird handlers can ensure every guest will have an amazing time.

The birds of prey experiences are a perfect gift for a loved one, to make their day special we can even throw in complimentary drinks or a cream tea if you’re feeling peckish. We also offer schools the chance to come down to meet our team of friendly flyers and learn about each species in great detail. So, why not come down and enjoy our birds of prey experiences?
