Here at Willows Bird of Prey Centre, our beautiful nature trail has become a well-known haven for wildlife. On a plot of old nursery land that was previously used for growing specimen trees, its now a network of bark pathways which leads you through a variety of woodland and meadow habitats populated by a wealth of wildlife and birds, as well as our own farmyard animals such as our stunning birds of prey, pigs, wallabies, alpacas, goats, chickens, ducks, geese and even a Falabella miniature horse. We have something for everyone within our grounds.
Coming to our centre is an inspiring and uplifting day out for people of all ages. During the holidays, we have up to 8 activities a day to keep even the most active of children busy, this includes our two outstanding flying displays which is included in your entrance price. Each display takes place in a different arena with very different birds, you can expect to get up-close and personal with our birds as they swoop over your head, whilst our knowledgeable team provide a light-hearted and informative commentary. We also have a range of demonstrations for our farmyard animals, showing the children how we care for them and feed them each day, allowing your little ones to get involved where possible.
We are extremely proud of our incredible interactive learning centre, we are able to offer children the opportunity to be completely immersed in nature for the day. Along with getting to know our farmyard animals, we also offer incredible Bird of Prey experiences, with a professional falconer on hand, you’ll get the chance to handle and fly a variety of birds, in complete safety, surrounded by the stunning countryside.
