Bird of Prey Photography Experience Day
Bird of prey photography experience days are led by Julian Lucchesi, a self-taught photographer who values how photography supports wellbeing. You will join a small group (up to 8 people) at Willows Bird of Prey & Wildlife Trail, with the chance to photograph birds such as hawks, owls, eagles, vultures, and falcons, both in flight and perched.
- Julian sets up photo opportunities and can provide tips including best camera settings for the conditions, but does not teach camera use.
- Willow's keepers share facts about each species.
- Other trail animals, like wallabies and meerkats, can be photographed.
- Open to all skill levels, in a relaxed, hands-on environment.
Meet at the Willows kiosk for welcome and itinerary and explore the whole train during your visit.
All types of cameras are welcome. Bring a digital camera with telephoto lens and memory cards if possible. Mobile phones are allowed but may limit your shots. Tripods are fine in some areas; flash is not permitted. No equipment is supplied; please look after your own gear.

- Duration: 5 hours (10:30am - 3pm, with breaks) £150
- Group Size: Maximum of 8 people per booking
- Age Requirement: 12+, 12-years and under must come with a full-paying adult.

- Admission: Includes access to the Wildlife Trail, so you can enjoy our 7-acre woodlands and meet our animal residents after your session.
Terms and Conditions:
- Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before the experience, no alternative date will be offered, and we cannot issue a refund.
- Right to Cancel: Willows reserves the right to cancel the experience at the last minute due to weather conditions, animal welfare concerns, or staff shortages.
- Liability: Willows cannot be held responsible for any additional costs incurred due to such changes (including travel and accommodation).
- Voucher Validity: Open-dated vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of payment. It is the participant's responsibility to book and use the voucher within this timeframe. No refunds or bookings will be accepted after the expiry date.
- Availability: We recommend checking availability before purchasing your voucher to avoid disappointment.
- Advance Booking: Please note that all experience bookings must be made in advance. To avoid disappointment, we recommend selecting your date early, as peak times (weekends and school holidays) fill up quickly.
- Please arrive 15 minutes early (10:15 am) to ensure you get the most out of your experience!
